When to eat.

Eat a Big Breakfast

Research shows that individuals who eat the most calories before noon actually eat the fewest total calories over the course of the day. It seems that eating a hearty breakfast reduces appetite in the afternoon and evening. In a recent Brazilian study, obese women who ate a large, 610-calorie breakfast every morning lost 21 percent of their body weight over an eight-month period, while obese women on a low-carb small breakfast diet lost only 4.5 percent of their body weight. The women on the big breakfast diet reported less hunger and fewer cravings throughout the day.

As a general rule, try to consume eat least 25 percent of your total calories for the day within an hour of waking up.
A sensible eating schedule for most athletes that will keep your appetite in check and reduce total eating is as follows:

7:00 AM -- Breakfast
10:00 AM -- Snack
12:00 PM -- Lunch
3:00 PM -- Snack
6:00 PM -- Dinner
8:30 PM -- Snack (optional)

Day 60



Ok I have about 4 weeks left to go till I finish my first 90 days. I have missed three weeks total so that is why I am not finishing up by the end of March as initially planned. Overall the workouts are not to hard, but it takes commitment and I am happy I have stuck with it so far. The results have been promising and I will continue to get the gut down to flat. I will say the the Friday legs and back workout does give me some trouble because if I do not eat enough my energy level drops and I have to take break. Although days I complete the Yoga (sometimes I skip the Thursday Yoga), the Friday work out goes better. I look forward to doing this again and not skipping a day ( big maybe if during the summer time or football season).

Day 11

Ok Yoga again. I hate the first half. It involves alot of crouched warrior stances and complex standing, balancing moves. The second half is more my speed. Sitting stretches push me a bit more although I still cant touch my dam toes. I actually did the plough move this time. I still can not beleive that.

I had a Moes salad today. If you already know Mexican in my weakness.

Day X

This is my second time on the shoulders and arms work out. I need to get some l5 ob or 30 lb weights. Me and Fortune share to 20 lbs or I use the new triple bands. The triple bands work well, but so not give the full range in some cases.

This was by far the hardest I have pushed myself so far. We did not pause for reason of rest, but only to share weight (while checking form). I did not like the fact that I rested by sitting between each set. I need to learn how to rest while standing, but sitting at a desk for the last 10 years ain't helping.

Diet is going well. I fell better, but no weight loss yet. Still at 214.

Day 9

Plyometrics is fortune favorite. I hate it becuase i have to use my legs and i get so tired doing so. He tried to push me, but I need to work on my form here. We did not pause at all so that was great.

Day 8

We started the week with the same rotation of excercises. I felt much better, we did not take as many breaks. I have decided the bannds will work for me now instead of the actual pull ups. I hope to work the pull ups in next week. I will say this was my most intense day so far. I seem to max out on every routine so much that I could not complete one of the strange a$$ pushups and the end of it all.

Quote of the Day "We are not doing abs today". Fortune was not prepared for the ab wokrout and seems to beleive I am adding ish.

Diet went well.

Day 7

This was a day of rest not work out. I was going to stretch but found an excuse not to. PS3 Call of duty was the excuse. I chilled hard all dam day. Church did not happen either. I will need to work church in on Saturdays.

I also had a egg omlet with the yellows. The egg whites were nasty. Sunday will be my breakfast as I want day.

Day 6

OK today was the first day I ate out of the deit. My little cousins Bre and Sanna were in town so I oculd not miss having lunch with them. I had a 3 dollar light burrito. NO guac nor heavy cheese.

As for the work out it was Kenpo X. Alot of kicking and punching my back was not impressed. Me and fortune looked like 4 y.o. blank belts. I really would suck as a south paw. It was a good excercise for the upperbody, my form sucked on the kicking. I really need to work that out. I have not had to kick anything in atleast a decade.

Day 5

I have missed a few days of blogging, but not too much to cover.
Day 5 I had to double up Friday since I missed my yoga Thursday. If you have read my comment i hate Yoga.

Friday was legs and back work out. It was not as bad at the upper body work out, but my back seems like it works everyday. I think the yoga may have helped.

The diet is still going strong, but my wieght is still staying around 214 lbs

Day 4-off the wagon

Let me start by saying the BCS championship was today. Between that and my flat tire and the tractor trailer that held 285 west to a stand still no Yoga X for me on Day 4. The plans is me and Fortune will work out at 7:30 am. I am so not a morning person, but this will help with my goal to get up earlier.

Again I stuck to the diet and even resisted the white rice I was given at dinner. I never thought I would see the day I would turn down rice. This is my turning point. Ofcourse my Gee Chee card is at risk, but I am sure getting rid of this belly is worth it.

Day 3

Day 3 was a quite a task, because I did not hit the pause button as much and I expected more out of myself and the workout. This shoulder and arm workout was hard, but at the end as I worked through the pain I was not if my triceps were going to bust open. And once again out of nowhere as I was doing the ab workout the cramps came. this time in my triceps and someone how my legs and lower back. I never thought my back muscle would cramp like that. Good this my work out partner fortune was there to help me up else it would have been like day one when I had to peel myself off the floor.

I am still sticking to the diet and was not as hungry on day 3. I need to get up earlier however so I can have a full breakfast.

Day 2

Ok the aerobic work out today worked the legs. I did create quite a burn, and I hit pause a few times. I can see room for improvement.

The diet sucked of course. I realized I can not eat anything with sucralose also known as splenda. It gives me quite a headache.

The biggest issue has been my eating time. I can snack so I do not starve. So I spread the snacks out and eat slower and drink plenty of water. However the eating 90 minutes before a workout is a work around. It will require me to eat at work. In that case I will have a larger snack to hold me the 90 minutes before the workout.

Another issue is the protein shake and bars. I realize I have to use natural fruit for sweetener and unsweetened protein. As for the bars I just need to make sure they are surcalose free.

Day 1 Workout

Ok, The work out kicked my butt. My work out fortune and I completed the first work out and were zombies for the ab workout. I will need to put some down time between the the two a day work outs. During the ab workout my legs cramped up and I did very little the entire work out.

I will post my daily results on my google documents page and link in here later. I hope to improve, I can see how I can't I felt that bad today. The main work out was Chest and Back. The push ups were not that bad till the 20th set. The pull ups were a joke. I had to use a chair everytime. I wish I had a higher bar. These will be my weakest excercise, and to think I had the record at my primary school when I was all of 65 ponds. I could do 21 back in the day. I did 10 my first set unassisted, then about 10 assisted after that.

Oh and if I was not cramping I was doing my best not to throw up. I need to work our when I am going to eat. I work out at 7:00 so I can not eat before. (any suggestions)

Day 1 - Diet

I already feel like I am about to pass out. I bought my lunch for the week and looking over the plan it consists of nuts,power bars, protien drinks, and so,e other stuff I never eat. If anything I will loose the weight eating like i wanna live till I am 100.

By the way I almost passed out from hunger at 11:30 am.
